That's No Rainbow, That's A Klainebow!

I could just look at this for hours. It is seriously the cutest thing in the entire world.

Darren's face say it all. He's so proud of Klaine.

Leap Day Festivities

2012 is a Leap Year (meaning once every 4 years, February goes crazy and adds an extra day)
So of course, February 29th is Leap Day.
And today is February 29th and therefore it is Leap Day...so happy LEAP DAY!!
So slap on your blue and yellow and go to town!
Kenneth Parcell did!
See?

Also in case you didn't realize that Leap Day was actually a thing to be celebrated (don't worry Liz Lemon didn't know either)I would just like to let you know that it is a huge deal. So there. To inform you more about Leap Day, here is a lovely explanation from the cast of 30 Rock. I thought I would promote not only my love for Tina Fey/Liz Lemon but NBC as well

If you don't wear yellow and blue Jack Donagy will "stomp on your feet, kick you in the knee,Yankees suck, Go Pats". If you don't want this to happen to you then I suggest wearing some blue and yellow. It's much safer and of course less painful.

Enjoy this lovely Leap Day everyone and see ya in four years. :D

Damn that G.L.E.E

So ummm....yeah.
I have a problem.
It's a major problem
One of those problems that makes you want to scream into a pillow
One of those problems that makes you want tear your hair out
One of those problems that makes you want to cry yourself to sleep every night
Wanna know that problem?
Oh I'll tell you the problem
Here's the problem
GLEE WON'T BE BACK UNTIL APRIL 10TH!!!
APRIL 10TH!!
Do you realize what this means?!?
7 Weeks until I see their lovely faces and hear their angelic voices!!
SEVEN WEEKS!!!

I think I might die or just start come ugly crying. I think I'll do that latter.

Or I'll just watch a lot of reruns and stare at Darren Criss a lot. Either one.

These Fishes in the Sea, They're Staring At Me

A wet world aches for a beat of a drum...

Original song by Young the Giant but sang on Glee by the lovely Blaine Anderson.

Life's too short to even care at all oh
I'm losing my mind losing my mind losing control
These fishes in the sea they're staring at me oh oh
Oh oh oh oh
A wet world aches for a beat of a drum
Oh

If I could find a way to see this straight
I'd run away
To some fortune that I should have found by now
I'm waiting for this cough syrup to come down, come down

Uhh ch ch ch ch

Life's too short to even care at all oh
I'm coming up now coming up now out of the blue
These zombies in the park they're looking for my heart
Oh oh oh oh
A dark world aches for a splash of the sun oh oh

If I could find a way to see this straight
I'd run away
To some fortune that I should have found by now

And so I run now to the things they said could restore me
Restore life the way it should be
I'm waiting for this cough syrup to come down

Life's too short to even care at all oh
I'm losing my mind losing my mind losing control

If I could find a way to see this straight
I'd run away
To some fortune that I should have found by now

So I run now to the things they said could restore me
Restore life the way it should be
I'm waiting for this cough syrup to come down

One more spoon of cough syrup now [x2]

Who We Really Are

No matter where we end up in life, it's important to remember who we once were and have the strength to grow from that but we should always remember where we come from. We may not like the person we used to be or we may miss it terribly. The only thing to do is love who we truly are, not who we want to be.

While on Live with Regis and Kelly in March of 2011, Darren shows us who he really is. (You may skip to time 1:07 if you'd like)

[Pointing to picture with long hair]
"This is what I really look like"
[Points to his short hair]
"This is a lie!"

Afro and all, this boy is the cutest thing on earth. He always remembers where he comes from but he also cherishes where he is and who he is now. :)
I love the Darren from a few years ago and I love the Darren from today. I love his entire being and the fact that he merely exists in this life. Yeah, that is all.

St. Valentine Painted Figurines

You may think that being single means being alone. And to all you singles out there who are cynical about this lovely holiday, I want to let you know that that is not true.

I'm single but I wasn't alone tonight.
I spent an hour with my lovely Glee family and they sang amazing love inspired songs to each other, me and the folks at home.
If only for a moment I saw the one man who makes my heart beat faster and slower at the same time, for Darren Criss is the only person who can accomplish this feat.
I also had a lovely affair with a glass of milk and 100th Anniversary Oreo's with confetti filling.

Happy Valentine's to me.

May you find love everywhere you go. I know I do. <3

Some Kind of Wonderful

Only Eric Stoltz could make the phrase "You look good wearing my future" sexy. Well that's probably because he is absolutely precious in Some Kind of Wonderful (another lovely 80's movie directed by John Hughes). I love this movie so much. It's so damn cute that I can't get over it. I know I say I love a lot of 80's movies but I really love this movie. I guess I really just love John Hughes' movies. (Ferris Bueller, The Breakfast Club, Sixteen Candles, Pretty in Pink, Home Alone, 101 Dalmations).

But anyways, watch this movie and fall in love with falling in love or fall in love with falling in love with your best friend. Keith and Watts are the cutest. :D

Gosh, why can't real guys be like Eric's character Keith? Because Keith is perfect and the perfect guy doesn't exist (except for Darren Criss obviously). Oh and the teen movies they have nowadays have got nothing on the 80's.

Um, the cutest movie scene ever. :)

Eric Stoltz is so pretty, he's got an Andrew McCarthy thing going on with that hair and that smile.
Yes, please.

I Won't Stand For...

Don't stand for intolerance and hate

"I wanna be the change I see in the world"
"We have one life to live so why hate each other?"
"Just open up your minds to accepting people for who they are"
"This isn't a political thing"
"Nobody should stand for prejudice"

Don't Stand For It

I Feel, Therefore I Can Be Free

I officially have been inspired by Audre Lorde.

I'm currently reading Sister Outsider which is a compilation of essays she has written and speeches she has given over the years. I think her writing is just beyond eloquent and I wish I could write like she does. She has some very powerful messages that she gets across beautifully in her writing and I bow down to her for that.

I've read some of her stuff before, but for some reason it is resonating more with me now. Lorde is not your typical writer for she is "a black lesbian feminist socialist mother of two children, including one boy, and a member of an interracial couple" and all of these things that make her who she is come out in her writing.

What I loved most of her writing in particular is her essay Poetry is Not a Luxury for she says some beautifully thought out things like:

"The white fathers told us: I think, therefore I am. The black mother within each of us - the poet - whispers in our dreams: I feel, therefore I can be free."

"The brain alone will set us free"

"Women have survived. As poets. And there are no new pains. We have felt them all already. We have hidden that fact in the same place where we have hidden our power. They surface in our dreams, and it is our dreams that point the way to freedom. Those dreams are made realizable through our poems that give us strength and courage to see, to feel, to speak, and to dare"

I highly recommend this book. It will give you a whole new insight into the ways of the world and how people who may not be like you can still feel the same things you do and still want to change the same things you do. If anything, it may just free your mind. :D
